The Truth of the Matter
Do not be surprised when you pray for truth, that God does not reveal it to you. He is God. He is truth. I have been praying over a certain situation lately and this week that prayer was answered. I was unsure of something in my life. I could not see the truth of the matter. I sought the Lord in prayer and the truth was revealed. (John 16:13) When we search in God’s will for the answer to prayer, such as truth, God is truth so He will reveal the truth to you in His time. (John 4:24) Be steadfast in your prayer and don’t forget you prayed for it! Because when it hits you in the face, it may surprise you and hurt you at the same time! God has a way of showing all sides in a situation when you are truly seeking His will and His truth. When you try and bring your flesh and feelings into the situation, it is very possible that you will be disappointed in yourself when the real truth of the matter is revealed. (Psalm 51:16) Truth known, also allows you to work through what God has now pointed out in your life. (John 8:32) Uncertainty is gone and a peace of heart is obtained. He is our peace. He has broken down every wall. (Eph 2:14)
Be blessed.
Hello and welcome to our Blog Page. Here is where we will share daily thoughts and inspiration from Christ as He shows them to us.
This is one of my favorite pictures. It was taken in May of 2018. My friend and I had scheduled a trip to Maine together. We were going to sightsee and do the touristy thing together! Maine has always been on my bucket list to visit, so we booked the trip. But as usual, God had other plans. My friend ended up getting an infection that made it impossible for her to travel. She encouraged me to go on this trip alone. I was petrified to say the least! So after a lot, and I mean a LOT of prayer, I went. The Lord convinced me to get up early and go down to a local dock that I had found, and set up my camera at 5:00 in the morning! Hmmmm, a dark deserted dock, in a small town, on the ocean, where I do not know a soul, He was with me every step. From that, I met interesting people, went whale watching, and found the most amazing hole in the wall restaurants only the locals knew about! I found a little local church with a small congregation. I met some lovely people in a restaurant and ended up going to their house for brunch. It was a delightful time. I trusted in the Lord to guide my footsteps and keep me safe. I am thankful for that experience.
